How to Get Burned Sugar Out of a Stainless Steel Pan

    • 1). Fill the burned pot with water and bring to a boil. Boil for three to five minutes, to remove as much sugar as possible. Carefully drain the water.

    • 2). Add one to two inches of hydrogen peroxide to the pot. Return the pan to the stove and bring it back to a boil.

    • 3). Boil the peroxide for at least two minutes. Watch it carefully; do not walk away from the stove. Most of the sugar should lift off the surface of the pan during this process.

    • 4). Rinse thoroughly with hot water.

    • 5). Form a paste of commercial cleanser and water and apply it to the scorched area, if any remains on the surface of the pan.

    • 6). Let the paste sit for at least two minutes. Gently scrub clean.
