Inspiration and Ideas for Jewelry Making

It's not always easy to come up with new ideas and designs for jewelry making. If you make jewelry as a business or make a lot just because you enjoy it so much there will likely come a time when you are looking around for new ideas, styles, and designs to try. Here are a few sources to help you get the juices flowing.

Magazines - Online. Not only can you get the print magazines but many magazines offer a plethora of PDF's, tutorials and projects on their websites.

Interweave offers several different jewelry magazines such as Beadwork, Step-by-Step Wire Jewelry, Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist, Jewelry Stringing and Handcrafted Jewelry. There are projects that cost a small amount in the Interweave Store as well as free projects from Jewelry Making Daily, Beadwork, and Jewelry Stringing

Art Jewelry has a large database of projects - some that cost a small fee and others that are free. You can search for projects based on material and technique to help you narrow down the nearly overwhelming options.

Bead Style also has a large selection of projects listed on their website. As with Art Jewelry you can filter the project options by the type of project you want to make and the materials you have on hand or want to try.

Craft Ideas is a magazine, that is more of a general crafting magazine also has a pretty healthy number of projects to be inspired by.

Of course this is not an exhaustive list of print magazines that also have online inspiration and projects so be sure to check to see if your favorite magazine has an online site with projects you can explore.
