Help for How to Improve Your Dancing Rhythm
Keeping the Rhythm
- 1). Listen to a song to find the rhythm. The best way to do this is to count the beats out loud. Make sure to count just the beats of the rhythm rather than all of the percussion.
- 2). Add in another activity, like doing the dishes. As you carry out the second activity, try to keep the rhythm in your head.
- 3). Put a third activity into the mix. For instance, you could watch television as you do the dishes and listen to music.
- 4). Keep checking back to see if you still have the rhythm of the music. Many people find it hard to keep a rhythm while focusing on their dance moves and vice versa. Doing multiple tasks at once while listening to rhythmic music will help your brain maintain a rhythm even when you are not totally focused on it.
