How to Clean Glass Kerosene Lamps

    • 1). Remove the lamp chimney from the burner assembly. Take care not to bend the tines as you do.

    • 2). Spray the inside and the outside of the lamp chimney with the glass cleaner. Use your hand or the sponge to wipe down both the inside and outside surfaces and remove any soot or grime.

    • 3). Rinse the chimney at the sink. Set it aside to dry, or dry it with the cloth.

    • 4). Dampen the sponge. Carefully wipe down the burner assembly and the lamp body to remove any soot or dust.

    • 5). Dry the lamp body and burner with the cloth. Use the cloth to help grip the chimney while setting it back atop the burner. The cloth will help prevent fingerprints on the freshly cleaned glass.
