Apr 7, 2008 - Funny woman Leslie Mann has signed on to the cast of I Love You Phillip Morris starring Ewan McGregor and Jim Carrey. Mann will play Jim Carrey's wife in the film which is based on the book I Love You Phillip Morris: A True Story of Life, Love, & Prison Breaks written by Steve McVicker.

Glenn Ficarra and John Requa adapted the screenplay and are directing the black comedy. Filming is expected to begin this month.

The story follows a married conman (Carrey) who falls in love with his cellmate, Phillip Morris (McGregor), and that relationship prompts repeated attempts to escape from prison.

Mann was recently onscreen playing Owen Wilson's love interest in Drillbit Taylor. She recently wrapped work on the comedy Seventeen Again starring Zac Efron.
