Different from the regular heaters, these ones heat the water on demand that means no storage of hot water and no worries about tank maintenance. It runs only when the water is being used by someone, not like the other type that keeps heating the water continuously.  Some small ones are also available for minimal use of hot water as in the wash basin. Under sink heaters and over sink heater that heats the water instantly as water flow through the heater.

Various types of water heaters have different models but ultimately providing convenience to the user.  All of us need to do is to choose the right one which works as our needs and saves bit of money.
