Do It Yourself Herculiner Truck Bed Liner
- 1). Remove the truck's tailgate and any hardware that you do not want coated with Herculiner. You will coat the inner face of your tailgate separately.
- 2). Clean the truck bed and inner face of the tailgate. Sweep out any dirt and wash them thoroughly with detergent. Then rinse with water and let dry completely.
- 3). Mask the truck and tailgate. Apply masking tape firmly to any areas where you do not want the liner applied and fill in any drain plugs and latch bolt holes with tape.
- 4). Scuff the entire paint surface where you want your liner. A scouring pad is included in the Herculiner kit.
- 5). Wipe off any sanding dust with a clean, damp cloth.
- 6). Wipe down the truck bed and tailgate with the acetone solution and a clean cloth and let dry 10 minutes or more.
- 7). Open and stir the Herculiner well with a metal paint mixer or drill with mixing attachment.
- 8). Coat the seams and corners of the truck bed and tailgate by dabbing the liner on with the 2-inch brush in the Herculiner kit.
- 9). Roll the Herculiner on using the provided foam roller and handle in the order of your bed's side and front panels first, then the bed floor and then the tailgate.
