Common Misconceptions On Bpo

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is creating a great impact in todays business trend. However, there are several concepts that are being said about BPO which weighs more on the negative side relative to a nations economic condition.

Indeed, BPO industries have been sprouting all across the globe and along with it are several misconceptions which trigger serious debates among legislators, workers and business owners. If we are to make the most out of BPO potentials, these common misconceptions should be brought to light.

It is said that BPO caused unemployment for thousands of Americans. But the fact is current household surveys state that Americans are getting better employment rates today as compared before.

Outsourcing lowers the workforces self-esteem in finding better jobs. As mentioned, the rate of unemployment has been greatly reduced. It seems that there isnt any basis at all for such emotional condition among workers.

If truth be told, outsourcing affects economic freedom. It includes benefits such as free trade, free labor and free capital. In the Philippines alone, they have imposed lower taxes from outsourcing countries in order to attract more investors, leading to economic growth.

It is also said that outsourcing causes lesser jobs for locals. False! The main purpose of outsourcing is to enhance business efficiency. Once a company has been able to produce quality products and services at lower cost, chances are they would be selling it out at lower prices which later on affect lower cost of living for US families. We all know that such condition can strengthen and increase the standards of living and create better jobs required for a growing country.

In this light, we can say that both small and large-scaled businesses are benefiting from outsourcing. With the company cost steadily declining consumers would have the advantage of consuming lower cost on various products and services.

In contrary to what many believes that there is no need to opt for outsourcing, it differs a great deal from a business perspective. Most countries who are practicing isolationism often ends in failure and great losses and even unintended accidents.

Outsourcing is not merely concentrated on making and receiving calls. If truth be told, call center companies have different motives. Once a company is able to provide customer assistance well, it gives back higher returns and maximum profits.

It is somewhat saddening that many are lingering on these misconceptions. If they can only see the bigger picture, most businesses and locals would vote for strengthening ties with outsourcing industries.
