How to Outgas Powder Paint

    • 1). Turn on the dry-off oven for your painted object to a temperature setting of 450 degrees Fahrenheit, and then set the curing oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow 10 minutes for the oven to reach the set temperature.

    • 2). Put on a pair of heat-resistant work gloves. Place the piece into the oven for 10 minutes to allow the trapped gases in the pores of the piece to heat sufficiently enough to escape from the object.

    • 3). Pull the piece from the oven using a pair of tongs and immediately apply the powder paint to the object by quickly passing the object through the paint. Move the object to the curing oven and cure the piece at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until the paint gels onto the surface.
