How to Format a Smartmedia Card on an Olympus D-100 Camera
- 1). Turn off the Olympus D-100 camera. Pull open the plastic memory card cover at the far-right end of the Olympus camera.
- 2). Insert the SmartMedia card into the memory card slot with the card's notched edge facing into the slot. Push the memory card cover closed until it clicks into place.
- 3). Press the D-100's "Monitor" button, which is located above the arrow keys and to the right of the "OK" button. Press the "OK" button.
- 4). Press the down arrow key to navigate to the "Trash" icon in the menu screen. Press the right arrow key to choose "Yes" and press the "OK" button.
- 5). Scroll down to the "SmartMedia" icon in the menu and press the right arrow key. Press the "OK" button again to completely format the SmartMedia card.
- 6). Turn off the Olympus D-100 camera and turn it back on again.
