How to Shop at Water Tower Place in Chicago
- 1). Start on the first floor and work your way up to see all the shops the Water Tower Place has to offer. There's not much to see on the ground floor, so you can probably start at level 2. Most of the higher end shops are on levels 3, 4 and 6 if expensive purses and clothes are your thing.
- 2). Look at the directory for specific shops that you're looking for. The directories will tell you which level a particular shop is on. Since the Water Tower Place has so many levels, it would take you forever to find a certain shop like Victoria's Secret on your own. Use the directory when possible if you want to shop at a specific store.
- 3). Look on their website under "Category" if you're looking for specific types of items, like shoes. Their website is incredibly useful, especially for categories. The Water Tower Place will show you, for example, all the shoe shops they have. When you arrive at the mall, check out the directory to find out which floor your shoe store is on, or look it up on the website before you get there (see Resources below).
- 4). Check out the food on the seventh and mezzanine levels. If you need a snack or a sit down lunch, these are the levels that have most of the food shops. You can also get a discount on parking by eating anywhere at the Water Tower Place and getting your parking ticket validated.
- 5). Shop in spurts of four hours or less to save money on parking. Their parking pass for under 4 hours is only $10. If you want to be there all day, go early and stay all day to get your money's worth. They have early bird parking specials that will save you money from their regular rates.
- 6). Feel free to shop after work. If you can't make it on the weekends, come to the Water Tower Place after work to get in some shopping. Monday through Saturday, the Water Tower Place is open until 9 p.m. This will save you money on parking as well because you'll be there for less than 4 hours.
