- 1). Sit on the motorcycle and turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Lift the motorcycle upright and raise the kickstand.
- 2). Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position. The valve is located under the left side of the fuel tank, just forward of the rider's seat.
- 3). Open the choke by pulling the lever on the left handlebar forward.
- 4). Shift the motorcycle into "NEUTRAL" and hold in the clutch lever.
- 5). Place the kill switch on the right handlebar in the "RUN" position and press the electric start button with your thumb. The motorcycle should start immediately.
- 6). Lower the choke lever a quarter of the way in. Let the motor warm up for a few minutes before lowering the choke lever completely.
