How to Take Off the Caps For Elevation on a 17HMR Tactical Scope
- 1). Check that your rifle is unloaded.
- 2). Locate the cap screwed onto the elevation-adjustment dial centrally located on top of the scope body. The windage-adjustment dial is located on the right-hand side of the scope, adjacent to the elevation dial. The procedure for removing the windage cap is identical to removing the elevation cap.
- 3). Use your fingers to unscrew the cap from the elevation-adjustment dial. Remove the cap.
