How to Cut Feet Off Tights
- 1). Put on the tights and mark the desired length with the fabric pen. Hold the legs close together and mark the same length on each leg.
- 2). Remove the tights and lay them on a flat surface. Line up the waistband parallel to a straight edge or line, and press the tights flat from the waistband to the toes.
- 3). Cut a straight line at the mark, keeping the bottom blade of the scissors pressed against the surface to help guide the scissors to cut a straight line
- 4). Put a thin line of fabric glue inside the cut edges, and fold them under a quarter of an inch to make a hem and to keep the tights from running. If the tights are thin like pantyhose, put a thin line of fabric glue on the outside, just above the marked line, before cutting to prevent unraveling.
- 5). Apply double sided tape, body adhesive glue or a thin layer of glue with a hot glue gun on the inside of the hem created with the fabric glue. This will prevent the tights from rolling up when you walk. Reapply after every wear and wash.
