Lotus Exige 265E BioFuel

Read the profile: Lotus Exige

In 2006, the Lotus Exige 265E BioFuel saw the light of day. The 265 comes from the car's horsepower rating, and the "E" stands for ethanol. The engine was a modified version of the one found in the Exige S, but the mods upped its top speed to 158 mph, while its 0-60 mph time dropped to 3.9 seconds. The car was never produced for sale, but it served as a design exercise for a company that already builds some of the most fuel-miserly sports cars on the planet.
