How to Make Your Boss Notice You

Do you feel as though you are sometimes overlooked by your boss? Would you like to be noticed and perhaps use this visibility to your advantage in gaining a promotion? Then perhaps these tips will help you on your way.
1.
Come Early Make it a habit to report to work at least 10 to 15 minutes ahead of time.
You will have enough time to get settled and start the business day on time.
Your boss will take note that you are an employee who is conscientious about time and time management.
2.
Volunteer for Projects Do not be afraid to take on tasks that you are fully qualified to perform.
This not only shows initiative but willingness to take command of a situation.

Accomplish the Task that You Have Agreed to Perform On Time Not only should you work toward a successful completion of an assigned task but also accomplish it within the time parameters that have been set.
This shows time management skills.
4.
Have a Positive Attitude about Extra Work That May Come Your Way No one likes taking on more than their fair share of the workload, but one of the worst things you could do is complain about it.
Your job is to complete the task as asked.
If you feel that it is unfair to take on the responsibility of others in addition to own your workload, explain this in a calm and professional manner having thought out what you will say.
Also note that there is a time and place for everything.
So, choose when, where, and how you plan to discuss this issue carefully.

Don't Play the Blame Game Take responsibility for our mistakes.

Don't Play a Part in Office Politics Getting caught up in office politics can get you labeled as a potential trouble maker, and no one wants to be affiliated with one of "those.
" It's okay to socialize but when it comes to gossip, pretend that something urgently needs your attention in order to break away from the conversation.

Always Look Busy It sounds dumb I know, but what your boss sees, is what your boss will believe 8.
Ask Questions When You Need Clarity Do not pretend that you understand what to do only to waste time and eventually look silly.
Ask for clarity before you begin the task and assure your boss that you only asked because you want it done correctly the first time.
