Ponsonby is a western suburb in Greater Auckland, New Zealand, and is frequented by locals for the night clubs, restaurants and shopping opportunities on Ponsonby Road. This small suburb is primarily a residential area with 19th and early 20th century houses. Although no hotels are in Ponsonby, accommodations are available in nearby Auckland and St. Marys Bay. Ponsonby is only a five-minute drive from the attractions and upscale shops in Auckland's central business district. - The Acapulco Motel is in the Greater Auckland suburb of St. Marys Bay, less than five minutes from Ponsonby.
