- 1). Fill a spray bottle halfway with water and halfway with white vinegar. Pour a few drops of essential oil into the bottle. Citrus or lavender work well for odor removal and provide a pleasant scent. Spray any surface with the vinegar solution. Allow to sit for 30 seconds to one minute and then wipe the surface clean with a rag.
- 2). Rinse your hands with plain white vinegar after using bleach, then wash as usual.
- 3). Pour white vinegar into a small bowl and leave it in the bleach-scented room overnight to remove odors in the air.
- 4). Run bleached clothing through the wash cycle with regular detergent, then add 1 cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle.
