Nuclear Away BP"s Oil Spill Disaster

I was listening to BBC news this morning and the crew was interviewing this investment banker specializing in the energy business.
Did a search online and found out that his name was Matt Simmons, founder of energy investment bank, Simmons & Company.
He was suggesting a solution to BP's problem.
Imagine an investment banker giving advice on crisis management.
I was having my morning coffee and I heard him saying that BP should nuclear the oil well, and the Russians were using such technology as well.
I almost puke my coffee on the waitress who was wiping my table.
He explained that the nuclear explosion will collapse the well and effectively stopping the continuous flow of the oil.
The reporter, whom I presume was having the same thought as me, asked him if this might lead to an even bigger problem? Mr.
Simmons replied that he has seen it being done four times, and it has been carried out with effective results.
Come to think of it, it does sound logical and it might be a possible solution.
Just a small enough nuclear blast on top of the well...
He did pointed out that BP most likely will not resort to such methods because BP might want to reuse this oil well again.
Even though Mr.
Simmons is an investment banker, but his specialization in the energy business does expose him to the different types of operations and how different company responds to crisis similar to BP's.
Perhaps this could really be the solution to BP's problem.
