How to Write Resume Objectives With No Skills
- 1). First, focus your objective on the type of position that you wish to acquire, rather than your specific skills. Write down the reasons that you want the position.
- 2). Brainstorm skills that you have from past jobs, education, clubs and organizations, and volunteering and life experiences. Everyone has some life skills, such as being a good communicator, working well with other people and being a good leader, even if he or she does not have specific experience relating to the job for which you are applying.
- 3). Write a resume objective that focuses on the positive attributes that you brainstormed. If you have a strong desire to learn, include that information in the objective section. Keep the objective clear, concise and specific. An example of an objective is, "Looking for a position in the financial industry as a bookkeeper." Limit your objective section to one or two sentences.
- 4). Write an objective based upon your interest in the area. An example of a clear objective would be, "Looking for a clerical position in the health care field based upon my interests in accounting and medicine."
