The Secret Society Lounge

• The Secret Society Lounge is a Victorian style bar and lounge situated in northeast Portland. The lounge is tucked away up a flight of stairs in an ornate burgundy and black building. The interior is furnished with plush red couches, small tables and framed paintings. In addition to standard cocktails like mojitos and margaritas, the bar offers specialty drinks like the Moscow Mule, a concoction of vodka, ginger beer and lime served in a chilled metal cup. The bar also offers a selection of absinthe, beer and wine.

Driftwood Room

• Located in the Hotel deLuxe is the Driftwood Room, a bar and lounge that features a long list of specialty cocktails and small batch whiskey and scotch. Outfitted with tan leather chairs and mirrors, the real centerpiece of the lounge is a glowing lavender wall behind the bar that features a driftwood sculpture. Drinks at the Driftwood Room include the Goldfinger, a mixture of ginger cognac, orange bitters and champagne, and the Elizabeth Taylor, a combination of crème de violette and champagne. The menu offers small nibbles such as olives, prawn scampi and Gorgonzola cheesecake.

The Bye and Bye

• The Bye and Bye is a bar located in the Alberta Arts district. The bar offers spacious indoor seating, with much of the walls adorned with local art, as well as a large heated and covered patio accented with live bamboo. The menu is exclusively made up of vegan and vegetarian items, with plates like the faux meatball sub and black eyes peas with brown rice and collard greens. Drinks include a number of local draft beers, wine and specialty drinks like the Bye and Bye toddy, made with whiskey and agave. The Bye and Bye is open evenings seven days a week.
