How to Uninstall Windows Live Messenger
- 1). Click the "Start Menu" button located on the left bottom of the task bar of your computer.
- 2). Scroll to "Control Panel" and click on it.
- 3). Click on the "Uninstall a Program" link under Programs from the list of control menus or features displayed on the Control Panel window.
- 4). Scroll down to "Windows Live Messenger" from the list of programs which open ups. Select it. Right-click on "Windows Live Messenger." Click "Uninstall" from the list of options "Uninstall, Change or Repair" displayed on the pop-out window.
- 5). Click "Yes" once you are prompted with the command "Are you sure you want to uninstall Windows Live Messenger?" Wait. A window opens up and a number of operations keep running with a popout displaying the "Windows is gathering information" message. Say yes to all operations, if asked. Uninstalling Windows Live Messenger will take a few minutes.
- 6). Restart the computer just to ensure that the operation has been conducted successfully.
