Payment for the Application: After your application is submitted successfully, you will be prompted for your credit card details for processing the payment part of the application. The only mode available for payment is by the use of a credit card, which is associated with the TPA (Travel Promotion Act) of 2009. Your application will not be considered, until you complete the payment procedure, which can be completed at a later time also.

Application Status: The electronic system for travel authorization provides an immediate response with the status of the application, submitted by you. Well, there are some cases that need more time for the application to be considered, for which the response is generated within 72 hours of submission. Three responses are possible for any application submitted through the ESTA process, which include authorization approved, authorization pending and travel not authorized, where only approved applications are entitled to move forward for a verification at the entry port.
