How to Split Digital Antenna Signals for HDTV

    • 1). Connect the coaxial cable running from the digital antenna into the "In" port on your channel splitter box. You can purchase a splitter box at most large electronic stores.

    • 2). Connect a coaxial cable onto two different "Out" ports on the channel splitter. Although you can purchase splitters that only have two outputs, many have more than this.

    • 3). Plug the opposite end of one of the coaxial cables into the "In" port on your HDTV. Power on the television and set the "Input" to "TV." You can now watch the digital antenna based programming. All HDTVs have a built in digital tuner, so you do not need to use a converter box.

    • 4). Repeat the coaxial cable connection process with the second television. Once the second TV is powered on you can watch the programming on this television also.
