This is what's wrong with film industry awards. The Other Woman actually came out in America already on a very limited release, yet it's not included on the award nomination lists likely because it chose not to send out DVD screeners to bend over backwards for a 2010 award ceremony that most associations run with when there's still an entire month left in the year.

It also makes me grouchy that Portman's acting actually looks better in The Other Woman than her good job in Black Swan, and that groping yourself on film -- or letting others grope you -- shouldn't be a locked in "OMG best actress of the year" vote. Shame on the industry for showing so little sexuality despite it being a huge part of our lives. And shame on Portman for habitually taking on sexual roles but refusing to ever actually be nude because of her fear of porn sites, even though she's on all of them already. Some days I get frustrated by how little logic surrounds me.
