While planning their cruise vacations, many first time cruisers focus only on the cruise itself - where they will be going, what will they do there, what will they buy there, what will they do on the cruise ship and so on.
But doing this may be a mistake, for many people just may not consider.
How will they get to the cruise ship ? Cruise ships depart from designated ports only.
And any person who buys a cruise ticket should make arrangements to get to the port of departure.
And when somebody who has booked a cruise is not aware of this, then they possibly may have to buy an air ticket at the last minute to get to the port of departure.
And buying air tickets at the last minute may not be the wisest thing to do simply because theymight have gotten to the port of departure by a cheaper means of transport and avoided unnecessary traveling expenses.
What isthe best thing to do ? Well, if you are going on a cruise vacation, then you might want to select one that has a very close departure location so that you may be able to drive there in a very short time.
