How to Build Blinds
- 1). Position two fence posts 48 inches apart. Use a tape measure to measure the distance. Drive each post into the ground with a rubber mallet until the triangle section on the bottom of the post is entirely into the ground.
- 2). Measure over 24 inches from each post. Position a fence post at each measurement. Drive each post into the ground with a rubber mallet. You will now have a post at each corner of a rectangle. This is the framework for the blind.
- 3). Wrap the 36-by-144-inch section of camouflage netting around the four posts. Secure the netting to the posts with reusable wire ties. Place one tie at the top and bottom of each post and one approximately in the middle. Use the fence post hooks to hold the tie in place. Thread the ties from the exterior of the blind through the netting, and fasten them on the interior of the blind. Draw the ties tight and lock the tie.
- 4). Use a utility knife to cut slits for your camera or weapon to poke through on each side of the blind. A 6-inch slit should be adequate for most cameras or guns.
- 5). Step over the edge of the blind to enter. Drape the 36-by-48-inch section of camouflage netting over the top of the blind to prevent any detection of movement from within the blind. If the conditions are windy you may need to use wire ties to fasten the top covering to the fence posts.
- 6). Set up and take down as needed. The fence posts pull easily out of the ground. Wrap the netting around the posts, and you have a portable set up for wildlife photography or hunting.
