How to Unlock a Samsung M600

    • 1). Unlock the code and de-brand your Samsung M600 using the cable method, which involves a software program that you can purchase from a website like Unlock at Home or Unlock Samsung Online. These companies sell the software for M600 for about $18, as of September 2010. You connect the phone's original USB data cable with the phone and the computer when you run the unlocking software. Follow the software's manual instructions carefully to avoid messing up the phone's firmware.

    • 2). Buy an unlock code if you prefer just keying a numeric password into the phone instead of using a software. Depending on the network the phone is locked to, the code will cost you between $7.99 and $34.95, as of September 2010. You can buy the code online from a company like Unlock All Cellular or Unlocking. When you receive it via email, power on the phone using a SIM card from a different network provider. When the phone asks for a "Password," simply enter the purchased code.

    • 3). Mail the phone to an unlocking company like GSM Liberty or The Travel Insider. If you can't handle an unlocking software or a code, this option might be more suitable; however, keep in mind that it will be slightly costlier (between $30 and $60, as of September 2010). To send the phone to either of these two companies, see the links in the Resources section.
