- According to clinical studies published by the Food and Drug Administration on RxList.com, approximately 9 percent of patients who take Zyflo discontinue use due to its side effects.
- Common side effects of Zyflo include headaches, body pains, abdominal pain, weakness, indigestion, nausea and muscle pains.
- When combined with blood thinners like Warfarin, Zyflo increases your risk of experiencing uncontrollable bleeding during surgery or following an injury.
- Rarely, Zyflo causes liver inflammation or failure. Some patients experience decreases in white blood cell counts, increasing the risk of bacterial, fungal, viral and protozoal infections.
- Because there is not yet sufficient evidence that Zyflo has no unwanted effects upon the fetus, doctors typically do not prescribe the drug for pregnant women. Additionally, children under the age of 12 should not take Zyflo due to its side effects.
