How to Start a Home Business: Phase Two
So, now you've made your choice.
You've settled on a business or businesses you wish to promote.
Depending on how good your sponsor is, you may have good advice or bad advice to guide you in your marketing efforts.
How do you know which is which? It can be very hard to tell.
When you've reached Phase Two of How to Start a Home Business, you're usually full of energy.
You think you're going to go out there and everyone will see the amazing potential that you do, and that people will be lining up to join your opportunity beneath you.
It's not long before you'll discover that this is not true.
If not all, then almost all of your friends and family have turned you down in every possible way you can think of.
It can be quite discouraging.
That's because the strategies that most people will teach you, of building a list of names of friends and family and calling them and pushing your product on them, do NOT work.
They are a relic handed down from the higher-ups in most companies and really get you nothing.
If you win the jackpot, you get a sponsor like me, that treats this as a genuine marketing business and teaches you methods to properly promote your business to the proper people, and really teaches you how to recruit.
During Phase Two of How to Start a Home Business, the recruiting phase, I don't recommend that you just go crazy and start recruiting hundreds of people.
I strongly encourage you to take some time, and really find people you want to work with.
So when you're learning how to start a home business, and you're in the recruiting stage, just pick a small number of people, five or so, and just concentrate on getting quality people you like.
It is a huge bonus if those people are from your local area, but it is not required.
Just get people you like who are serious about building a home business.
People you can keep in regular contact with.
This is important because the better you invest in these people, the more stable your business will be.
People who just go out and recruit like crazy, lose people who get frustrated that they can't get recruits of their own, and their income can fluctuate greatly.
By building a solid foundation, and teaching your downline to do the same, you ensure consistency on a month to month basis.
That's how to start a home business, by building one that lasts.
So, once you've recruited your first five people, don't get stuck in Phase Two, because if you really want to know how to start a business, you need to know what stages you will need to progress to.
Recruit your first five people, then force yourself to move on to Phase Three.
It's only then that you'll be able to progress to your own home business empire.
