A mother was always teaching her children how to praise and pray to the Lord.
She always taught them to thank the Lord whenever they acquire a new article.
While her children always murmured and grumbled in times of trouble, she would correct them, saying; " God will certainly help you, just tell the Lord everything, pour out your heart desires to Him; wait and see how wonderfully He is going to help you! If you did not pass your examination, it doesn't matter; just see how God is going to award you with high marks in the coming examination.
Just start to praise the Lord with a thanksgiving heart.
As the scripture says:- Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
(Phillipians 4: 6-7) The mother encourage her children in this way.
Her children grew in faith everyday.
When they grew up, they were able to withstand any problem boldly because of their mother's words of faith and encouragement.
They learn how to praise and pray to the Lord for help in times of troubles, the Lord heard and answered their prayers.
Later, they were transformed into servants of God who inspire others.
My sisters and brothers in Christ, do you have, in your own life, the habit of praying with thanksgiving and praise? Let us give thanks to the Lord joyously even while in misery.
The Lord who inhibits the praises will come down and wipe away your tears.
He will lead you to triumph!
