History

• CAT Pumps was established in 1968 with the creation of the Triplex high pressure Model 400 water pump. General Pump is a subsidiary of the Interpump Group, and was established as a pump manufacturer in 1982.
  
  

Types

• General Pump creates a number of different types of pumps, including reciprocating pumps and positive displacement pumps. CAT pumps are designed to use a pump and piston mechanism that creates a high pressure for pumping water.
  
  

Uses

• CAT Pumps developed the Triplex pumping system to be used in pressure washing and automobile washing industries. General Pump equipment is used in pressure washing and automobile washing applications, along with mining, sewer jetting and misting industries.
