Weekly Top 10 Christian Hits Chart
Jeremy Camp and Mandisa are the two most popular artists in Christian music this week, holding the top spots in the Weekly Top 10. They're joined by artists like Peter Furler, Building 429 and Sidewalk Prophets to round out a great week in Christian and Gospel music.
The official Top Christian Hits Chart is compiled by your Guide by checking andaveraging Christian charts and top play lists from all over the U.S. such as Billboard, Cashbox and Air 1 to find the most popular songs.
Moving up from #4 to become the most popular song in Christian music, Jeremy Camp's latest single, "The Way," is from his 2010 release, We Cry Out: The Worship Project. The song was co-writtenwith his brother-in-law, Brad Peens, and it has a real anthem feel toit.
Holding strong at #2, "Stronger" is from Mandisa's new and totally amazing release, What If We Were Real.Fans love this one as it is one of those "good to the last drop" kindof tunes that reminds us that it is from the bad that we getstronger.
Moving down from #1, "You Love Me Anyway" hit the chart two weeks ago and shot straight to the top. From the band's debut album, These Simple Truths, the country sounding ballad is a little slice of different from their pop sound.
In week #13, "Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me)," is the third single release from Until The Whole World Hears. While some of the critics weren't impressed by the song (or therelease),it has proven to be another hit. Personally, I have towonder howanyone could say that lyrics like Living, He loved me / Dying, He saved me / Buried, He carried my sins far away are a cliche (yet one reviewer did) because truth is never a cliche!
In week #7, "Blessings" has already seen the top spot and is on the way down. The title track from Laura's new album is tender, yet as powerful as a freight train. The piano-basedballad shares that we shouldn't look at blessings as a wishlist thatGod checks off for us. Rather, we should see the blessingsin the littlemiracles around us.
In week #7 in the Top 10 Chart, "Listen to the Sound" is the titletrackfrom Building 429's latestrelease. This pop/rock song tellslistenersto listen to the sound ofhope - something we can all relateto, while sounding (to my ears anyway). a bit like Newsboys.
Peter Furler's first single as a solo act debuted last week on theWeekly Top 10 at #7 and it is holding firm. Fun, but with meaning, the song reminds listenersthat God reaches for us all of the time.
In week #3, the fun "Move" comes from The Generous Mr. Lovewell. This tune has a very Sgt. Pepper (Bee Gees version) sound, taking listeners back to the 80s.
"Lift Me Up," which hit the charts in early May, is the second radio single from Light Up The Sky. Pure pop, this song highlights faith that doesn't waver no matter what the circumstances.
In week #5, slipping from the #9 spot, "Your Great Name" is the latest single to hit radio from Natalie's Love Revolution. She covers this worship song in a way that only she can - giving it life that practically takes you to the throne room.
