      In Colorado, Interstate 70 spans 450 miles, connecting many of the state's most popular tourist destinations, including Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Vail and Denver. There are several tunnels on the interstate, and no shortage of scenery as the highway passes through terrain as varied as deep canyon gorges, high mountain passes and wide open prairie. Built from 1956 to 1992, Interstate 70 is known as "The Pearl Harbor Memorial Highway."

    • Ami's Acres Campground is located on the western edge of Glenwood Springs and just less than three miles from the famous Glenwood Hot Springs pools. The park is located within sight of Interstate 70 and has 44 economically priced pull-through sites with 30- and 50-amp service and wireless Internet access. Management welcomes well-behaved dogs in the RV section. While there are no laundry facilities on the premises, guests can travel less than 10 minutes to shopping centers and laundromats in town. Long-term guests enjoy weekly and monthly discounts.
