How to Make a Muscle Tee

    • 1). Lay out your T-shirt flat on your cutting-mat-covered work surface. Smooth out any wrinkles, especially around the sleeves.

    • 2). Cut the sleeve off of the shirt. Stay just to the inside of the sleeve seams to avoid cutting the shirt wide open on the sides. Use one long smooth cut with a rotary cutter to get a smooth edge to the arm holes. Go slowly to avoid cutting off more than you want; a rotary cutter can quickly get away from you if you don't hold it firmly and work slowly.

    • 3). Pull away the cutoff sleeves. Try on the shirt to check fit. If you need more space around the arm holes, remove the shirt, flatten it back out and cut away more fabric. Repeat until the T-shirt fits correctly.
