UFO Religions
In previous centuries, the creation of the world was credited to supernatural forces. Sometimes these processes were also described in natural terms. For example, ancient Egyptians view creation as land emerging from water, just as life-giving silt built up on the banks of the Nile.
Modern religion reflects the beliefs of modern culture. One aspect of Western culture is interest in whether there is additional life in the universe as whether it has ever visited earth. As such, some religions have actively integrated alien life beliefs into their belief systems.
Current Western culture puts a high value on science. As such, religious views often adopt scientific aspects. For example, some monotheists believe in the Big Bang but also believe that God created the event in the first place, creating the matter and igniting the explosion that formed the universe.
During the Scientific Revolution in the 16th and 17th centuries, the universe was sometimes compared to a clockwork machine: god built it, defined how it would run, and would it up, but then he stepped back and let the universe function according to set rules. Such a belief downplays or entirely dismisses the idea of divine intervention such as miracles. Deism is one such belief system.

Raelian view Abranhamic beliefs from the perpective that God and Satan are actually alien visitors. God created humanity through scientific, not supernatural, processes. Important religious figures such as Jesus, Mohammad, and the Raelian prophet, Rael, are the offspring of God and human mothers.
These creator aliens will soon return to earth to judge human development. If humanity passes, they will openly interact with us and share their technology, creating a paradise through science. If humanity fails, they will be left to destroy themselves, as it is expected failing societies will.

Scientology practices revolve around technology expected to assist believers in resolving inner conflicts, which allows them to shed limiting engrams that are created through trauma. Scientologists reincarnate again and again, allowing them to continue to purify themselves scientifically, roughly similar to spiritual Buddhist, Hindu and Gnostic beliefs.
Only upper-level Scientologists learn about alien influences affecting the human race. At Operating Thetan Level III, Scientologists learn that criminals were brought to earth millions of years ago for execution, and their souls have imprinted on human souls (known as thetans in Scientology), limiting their abilities until such influences can be purged just as engrams had be purged.More »
Heaven's Gate members believe that salvation comes from enlightenment through the teachings of aliens who have come to possess human bodies. While these aliens will save a few, they will leave most of humanity to suffer the destruction and “re-spading” of the world which they originally populated.
Heaven's Gate is most known for the mass suicide of 39 members in 1997 in the wake of the appearance of the Hale-Bopp comet. They believed that our alien creators were concealing their ship in the tail of that comet, and this this might be their last chance of escape before re-spading happened.More »
