A central analysis structure is provided with filling up the accessible seats all over India. The candidates can also fill their application forms on-line.
Present Scenario in Indian engineering education
There are a very huge number of students complete their Graduation/ Post Graduation degree every year from various engineering colleges or universities. According to the report of 'Engineering Education In India', conducted by two professors of IIT Bombay nearly 2.3 lakh students graduated in engineering in 2006. The students who earned their master degrees and Ph.Ds were 20,000 and 1,000, respectively.
The percentage of the students who completed their Doctorate degrees in engineering is less than one per cent of graduate engineering degrees. This percentage seems to be much higher in other countries like Germany (8 per cent), United States (9 per cent) and Britain (10 per cent).
