How to Care for Mohawk Carpeting

    • 1). Vacuum the carpet regularly, using a vacuum that has a rotating brush or suction only.

    • 2). Use a pair of scissors to trim snags in the carpet and avoid pulling on them, as this might cause damage.

    • 3). Use the edge of a coin to stroke carpet that has been dented by furniture or other heavy objects.

    • 4). Remove stains with a water spray bottle and a wet/dry vacuum. Spray the stain with water and vacuum up, repeating until the stain is removed.

    • 5). Remove stubborn stains by blotting the area with a cotton ball dampened with 3 percent hydrogen peroxide. Once the stain is wet with hydrogen peroxide, allow to stand for 1 hour and then blot with a clean, soft cloth. Repeat until the stain is gone.
