How to Play Windows Media Player on a Mac
- 1). Visit the Windows Media Player for Mac download page (see Resources). Click on the "Free Download" link for "Flip 4 Mac".
- 2). Wait for the file to download. On the Mac OS desktop locate the "drive" labeled as "Flip 4 Mac". Click on it and click on the "box icon" within the new window that appears.
- 3). Click "Continue" when prompted. Click "Continue" through each additional screen until you reach the "Installation" screen. Click on "Install". Enter your Mac password if prompted.
- 4). Click "Continue" on the installation complete screen to finish or click the "Go Pro" button to upgrade to the paid version of Flip 4 Mac which is optional.
- 5). Click on the "Spotlight magnifying glass" icon in the upper right of the screen and type in "Quicktime". Choose the "Quicktime Player" from the list of options. You can now use Quicktime to play Windows Media Player files along with other file formats such as MP3s and video files.
