How to Buy Old Phones
- 1). Ask your friends and family. Everyone at some point wants to upgrade their current cell phone to the latest and greatest model. When people do this, they are often left with an older piece of equipment they have no use for. Ask you friends and family if they have any old cell phones lying around, and what price you can pay them for it.
- 2). Use eBay. EBay is an online auction site currently in use by millions of users daily. Simply go to www.ebay.com and type in the model number of brand of an older phone you'd like to buy. You can bid on these phones the same way you would a normal auction, or if the option is available, you can simply purchase it by clicking "Buy It Now."
- 3). Buy a refurbished phone directly from the vendor. Companies like Verizon and Alltel sell used phones to people upon request. Simply go to the nearest store for that particular service provider (you can use a company's website to find the nearest location) and ask about what deals they have on refurbished older cell phones.
- 4). Find an online vendor. Companies like Digicircle.com specialize in buying and selling older, used cell phones. By simply going to the website of one of these online vendors, you can search for phones by make and model, and pay using a credit or debit card. You can also sell older phones you may be in possession of but no longer have any use for.
