Pool Lights

Pool lights have a multitude of uses.
For one thing, they increase safety around swimming pools at night, which is important when you host get-togethers around your pool.
But pool lights can also be very aesthetically pleasing, and can create a number of special effects.
There are pool lights made to float on the water, lights that mount onto the side of the pool, and lighting that is placed around the outside of a pool.
The choices are nearly endless.
Fiber optic pool lighting is dreamy and beautiful.
When putting in a new pool, you can put a number of fiber optic cables on the bottom of the pool arranged in "sunburst" shapes radiating out from several hubs.
Once the cables are in place, you grout over them to the ends where the light radiates.
Once this has cured in place, you can fill up the pool and have a pool full of "stars" at night.
This is a really stunning effect.
Solar pool lights are another option, and they don't require electricity or batteries, just sunshine.
The floating lights have solar collectors that gather solar energy during the day and automatically come on at night - no batteries or electricity required.
Each has a rotating color wheel alternating blue, pink, and yellow, to light up your pool or spa with soft colors at night.
Another type of solar pool light is the floating globe light with color changing LEDs in green, blue, and red.
The base has an on-off switch.
The bottom of each globe is weighted to keep the light upright, and there is also a small loop at the top in case you want to anchor or hang them up.
Landscape lighting is also a must for people who plan to use their pool at night, for safety as well as aesthetic reasons.
Many of these are solar powered as well and are quite economical.
