How to Measure a Kindey Shaped Pool Liner
- 1). Measure the length of the pool from the longest points. On a kidney shaped pool, use the apex of the rounded kidney shapes for your measuring points. Write this measurement down.
- 2). Measure the width of the pool at the widest point and at the narrowest point and write down the measurements.
- 3). Secure a string to a pole that will extend across the center of the pool and then tie a small weight to the end of the string. The string must be longer than the pool is deep. Place the pole over the center of the deep end and then roll the string onto the pole by turning the pole until the weight just touches the bottom. Pull the string out of the pool and measure its length. Write them measurement down and then measure the shallow end of the pool.
- 4). Place the pole at the end of the sidewall and roll up the string until the weight rests against the top of the bevels on the pool wall if the pool wall tapers outward as the wall goes down. Pull the string out of the pool and measure its length.
