      Marietta is located northwest of Atlanta and south of the north Georgia mountains. Marietta is filled with parks, historic sites and old Victorian homes. Though the town hangs on to its past, downtown Marietta is filled with modern businesses, shops and restaurants, and it is still growing. You can find many different kinds of food in Marietta, among them several types of Indian restaurants, from authentic Gujarati style to dishes from India and Pakistan.

      Vatica serves all-vegetarian, Gujariti-style Indian food. The menu features several kinds of dal (lentil soups), roti (bread), puris (tortilla-like wheat bread), curries, chutneys, parathas (stuffed bread) and desserts. You can order Indian favorites such as lassi (yogurt drink), biryani rice, split-pea dahl and potato aloo. Finish the meal off with a dessert of gulabjamuns (fried balls in sugar water) or rice pudding. Vatica can cater any kind of event, from small parties to large corporate meetings. The restaurant is open for lunch seven days a week and for dinner each day but Sunday.

      Lahore Grill specializes in Indian and Pakistani food. There are plenty of vegetables, tandoori dishes and rice on the menu, but also dishes like mutton korma and lamb chop tikka. Lahore Grill serves appetizers like samosas (small fried savory pastries), pakoras (batter-dipped vegetables) and boneless chicken. You can also get vegetable, mutton and chicken biryani (spicy rice); beef and chicken tandoor (spiced and baked in a special clay oven); and breads like roti, naan and parathas. Vegetarians need not despair. Lahore also has a meatless menu, with entrees like dal fry, mixed vegetables and the popular palak paneer (spinach and cheese cubes). Lahore Grill is open from Tuesday through Sunday.

      Haveli specializes in North Indian food, although it serves dishes from all over India. The appetizers at Haveli include vegetable and chicken pakoras, pappadams (lentil wafers), samosas and mango chutney. You can get shrimp, chicken, lamb or vegetable biryani, all made with basmati rice. Haveli has a vegetarian menu, with aloo (potato in sauce), Punjabi curry, mixed vegetables in butter and seasoned okra. There is also a seafood menu, with shrimp vindaloo and fish curry. Haveli serves imported and domestic beers, wines and mixed drinks as well.
