How to Connect a Nikon E800 to a Laptop
- 1). Connect the serial connection end of your Nikon View serial cable to the serial port on the back of your laptop. The cable features a nine-pin serial connection and may require an additional adapter if your laptop's serial port is not a nine-pin port.
- 2). Plug the cable into your camera's video port. Push the power button on the camera to turn the camera on.
- 3). Launch the "Nikon View" software installed on your laptop. The software will connect with the camera, letting you view, copy and move images from the camera to your laptop.
- 4). Close the program, turn off the camera and disconnect the cable from your camera and laptop once you've finished with the camera.
