Broyhill"s Jasmine Sofa
The Jasmine Sofa is part of Broyhill's first environmentally friendly upholstery, offering an affordable approach to sustainable living.
The Jasmine Sofa is a casual, tight-back sofa that is covered in a natural taupe, repurposed cotton cloth. This sofa can fit into any contemporary setting with ease, yet it is remarkably green in the material it uses.
The frame is constructed from domestic timber which comes from certified sustainable sources certified by either the Forest Stewardship Council or the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, and the wood legs are made from certified wood and stained with water-based finishes.
The sofa is covered in repurposed cotton fabrics constructed with pre-consumer cotton fibers and clippings. The no-sag springs are made from 100 percent recycled steel and seat cushions are constructed using Cargill's BiOH foam, which is soy-based. The pillows and back cushions are made from recycled plastics.
The Jasmine Sofa retails for about $899.
