How to Donate Cars in Fresno, California
- 1). Donate your car to benefit Fresno's National Alliance on Mental Illness by calling 800-237-5714. You may also begin the donation process by filling out the online donation form (see Resources). Be prepared to provide the car's VIN number, make, year, model, mileage, exterior condition and interior condition. A representative will set you up with a towing company that will come on the date you schedule to haul your car away.
- 2). Fill out the online form (see Resources) to donate your car to Fresno County's Habitat for Humanity chapter. You will be helping low income families in your own town get their own home. Habitat only requests the car's basic information as well as its general condition. If you need any help filling out the form, you can call 877-277-HFHI to speak directly to a representative. Make sure you have a signed title ready when the towing company arrives to collect your car.
- 3). Call 877-411-3662 to donate your car through the Center for Car Donations. You must provide the Center for Car Donations with your car's VIN number and title. When you call they will ask you which Fresno charity, you want your donation to go to. If you aren't sure, the organization will provide you with a list. Let the representative know when the car is available for pick-up and the Center for Car Donations will take care of the rest.
