Cockroach Control With Bait

Cockroaches can eat almost anything making them true survivors.
They can be brought into your home from numerous places including the grocery store, storage facility, work, or someone's home to name a few.
These pests are nocturnal and will hide during daylight hours making their detection delayed and reproduction allowed to start.
Once you notice an outbreak of cockroaches a faster response will result in an easier elimination of roaches.
Anything from bug bombs to sprays and lots of other insect killers will kill them on contact.
The question is: Is killing them on contact the way to eliminate the population? The answer is simply - no.
If you kill cockroaches visible to you when you open a drawer or cabinet you kill just that, what you see.
Little does the novice know, there are lots more you can not see for every one you do.
The number of unknown is debatable but the fact is lots of family members are hiding in the walls, others cabinets and the numerous other places a cockroach can fit.
Consider placing cockroach baits around the area you see infestation of roaches instead of killing them.
Why? When you place a bait and the cockroach eats it he will bring it back to the nest to feed the rest of the tribe.
I like to use bait sold in tubes and you simply place a dab of bait all around the infected area.
Hours or days later depending on the type of bait and consumption the roach, along with all the roaches that were fed, will die.
Remember the nest is off in a hidden place and possible even not in reach of a bug spray or bug bombs.
Watch bait consumption and keep the bait plentiful.
Do not spray any insecticide on or near the bait otherwise the roaches will not eat the bait.
Vacuum the dead roaches and their feces with a HEPA vacuum.
Once the problem has gone away clean everything very well including the shelves, floor and behind appliances.
