How to Curl Straight Hair
How to Curl Straight Hair
Those of us with straight hair covet curls. Find out exactly hair to curl straight hair, if you are going for fat, classic curls such as these on Katherine Heigl, beachy waves (check out Jessica Simpson's hair in the preceding photos) or long curly hair.
For these fat curls, side-part hair and apply mousse to damp hair from roots to ends. After you dry hair, roll hair in hot rollers starting at the temples.
After the rollers cool, pull them out and style with your fingers or create big bouncy waves with a brush. Set with hairspray.
You can also curl straight hair such as Heigl's with a large-barrelled curling iron (see my favorite curling irons).

If you have some natural wave in your hair (most of us do), you can mimic this look by twisting damp hair into buns on either side of your head before going to bed. In the morning, loosen the buns and you'll have what look like natural waves. This works best on hair with some wave in it, but works on straight hair too.
