How to Disable ActiveSync in Windows Media Player
- 1). Click the "Start" menu on the bottom left of your desktop. Select "All Programs," then "Accessories." Find the "ActiveSync" icon among the list and click on it.
- 2). Click on the "File" drop-down tab in the menu bar at the top of the ActiveSync window, and choose "Connection Settings." Remove the check mark from the box labeled "Allow USB Connections." Click "OK" at the bottom of the window to save changes.
- 3). Connect your mobile device to the computer with a USB cord. Open your Windows Media Player and confirm that ActiveSync has been disabled.
