- 1). Sit in a chair so that your legs are horizontal to the ground, with a slight gap between them.
- 2). Lay the baby on your legs, with her feet by your stomach and head by your knees.
- 3). Apply one or two drops of saline to the baby's nostrils and allow it to sit for ten seconds.
- 4). Squeeze the bulb of the nasal syringe.
- 5). Insert the syringe into the baby's nostril gently.
- 6). Release the bulb gently and allow it to fill with air again, sucking out the mucus.
- 7). Wipe off the syringe after each use.
- 8). Repeat for the other nostril.
